Masters & Collegiate Rowing

for Adult Men & Women

Masters Rowing is a year-around program designed for rowers with previous experience in sweep or sculling who want to take their rowing skills to the next level. Men and women train hard and are encouraged to compete in races locally and regionally.

The Masters crew is made up of lifetime rowers, former college athletes, as well as graduates of the DBC Crew Learn-to-Row and Recreational programs. While there is a broad spectrum of experience amongst Masters rowers, the common trait for all is the desire to improve and excel at this physically and mentally challenging sport.

During the Spring, Summer and Fall, our  on-the-water season practices are held Rain or Shine!  Evening practices can be scheduled as requested.

In winter, the boathouse is open six days a week at 5:30am. Winter training is designed to develop balance, strength, and endurance in preparation for the summer water season utilizing ERGs, weights, plyometrics, stretching, and yoga.  Rowers are expected to participate at least three times per week. Those with less experience are encouraged to participate more frequently.

We welcome all rowing alumni, no matter how long it's been since the last time you rowed!  Well gladly answer any questions you may have before committing to this program. Please contact the Masters Program Representatives and/or coaches before joining this crew.
